Big Check & Info for DIY Brides

Good Afternoon All,

I GOT MY DRESS!!!!  Picked it up from David's Bridal this afternoon...I want to dance around in my bedroom with it on.  Now, I have a question...I'm not getting married until May, 2012, any suggestions of preserving it until then?  They gave me a garment bag and suggested taking the plastic wrap off in one month.  The salesclerk also said that she has heard of some brides wrapping their dresses in sheets.  Any suggestions?

Also, AC Moore in Watchung has ALL DIY Wedding Invitations Kits on sale.  They are currently 30% off.  Unfortunately, they didn't have the style that I was looking for.  Anyone know of another AC Moore in the area?

    Can we see a photo of the dress?

    In reference to storing it - I also got my dress from DB & they suggested I keep it in a dark place, either a closet or an extra bedroom. At first I had it under our bed but had to move it because of our kitty. Also, if your dress is heavy I would suggest not hanging it up as it will drag the dress. You can wrap it in sheets & air it out once a month or so but if you don't have a sheet you need to make sure the dress bag is breathable.

    How exciting you got ur dress....CONGRATS!!! As far as AC Moore stores, i know theres one in Linden right off the 1&9. Not sure if they have the same sales as the Watchung store but its worth a try.

    Thanks so much ladies.  Everytime I look at the bag, I giggle.  Thanks for the info as well.  Under my bed...what a great idea.  I will try to post a picture of it, either of mine or the one from David's Bridal site.  Not sure if will work though, I can't get my ticker on and I have been trying for a long time...UUGH...LOLOLOL.
