POLL: what length of veil will you wear? (if any)

Hey ladies!  I thought I'd get a fun poll going regarding what type of veil you'll wear (if any).  I've provided some pictures to assist you with the length definitions.

After you've answered the length poll, you can tell us more about your veil--drop veil?  blusher?  two tiered? mantilla? ethnic?  etc.

Here we go!

no veil

poof/accent veil (big poof of fabric/tulle not really covering the face)

birdcage/russian netting (assymetrically covering the face, or to the chin)

bouffant/shoulder length veil (usually just above the shoulder, to the shoulder or just below the shoulder)

elbow length (usually just above the elbow, to the elbow or just below the elbow)

fingertip (usually to the fingertips or longer)

waltz/ballet length (falls somewhere behind the knees or the calves)

Chapel veil (to the floor, or enough to cover a sweep train) The below is arguably a cathedral length, depending on the height of the bride.

Cathedral (just past a sweep-train length to as long as your imagination can conceive!)

combination (two or more different lenths of veil?) the below shows birdcage plus chapel

I'm not sure yet, but I bet I'll end up with some kind of combination

    Maybe a short blusher with a chapel-length veil  :)

  • Excellent poll Nukke! And I love those pictures.

I am wearing a cathedral length veil, which I LOVE. It's silk, and un decorated. It attaches with two pearl/crystal combs and the top edge arcs low on my head over my hair.

After the ceremony and pictures I'll be taking it off but leaving in the combs.
  • As of now, I'm thinking a chapel length mantilla will look beautiful with my dress.  There's an etsy seller that sells some beautiful looking ones.  Rohm is the name of the shop, and here are a few pics:

  • I love the variety we have here!  Mine will be a very short birdcage, so not really covering the face. For the reception I'll probably fold it over and pin it to be more like an accent veil.

  • I've been planning on a birdcage veil, but now I'm starting to like the bouffant veil, it's more fifties. Hmmmm....

  • I voted elbow, but really I think I'm doing a combination.... I'm 99% sure that I'm purchasing a swiss dot bubble veil, but I'll wear it much lower than this stock pic:

I think I'll switch to an accent/ pouf for the reception- I just bought a huge assortment of tulle and netting samples and I think I'm going to make it out of multiple types and colors! SWEET!
