If one were trying to get from Fenway to the Sam Adams Brewery in Boston, what is the best way? Are cabs readily available at either/both locations? Is it walkable? We were going to rent a car in Boston, but to park it for two nights would cost more than the rental itself. Thanks!

Cabs are readily available at fenway, but not at the brewery.  That said, brewery is walkable to the T.  Fenway and brewery are not walkable...about 30-40 min apart on public transit, and 15 min in a taxi.

If you want to fit everything in, I'd say Cab from fenway to brewery.  Then after the tour, hop on the orange line at stony brook and take that back into the city (downtown crossing).   From the Downtown crossing station, you can get back on a green line, catch a  red line to cambridge and see harvard/mit, whatever.

If you dont mind taking your time on the way to the brewery, hop a green line train at any fenway station to park street.  At park street, you can transfer by walking to Downtown crossing and the orange line, and then go to stony brook.  Sounds complicated maybe? but it isnt that bad.

Yay Boston!! You guys will have a great time.  Let me know if you need more info!
