Looking for recommendations - B-photos and cake!

Good morning!

honey and I went to our first cake tasting last night at Creme de la Creme in Renton. We had fun but I wasn't too impressed. We have another scheduled at Look Cupcakes in Seattle on 8/14. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to where I should look? I was totally opposed to cupcakes in the beginning but after I looked at Look's site I'm starting to think they could be really fun. And delicious. I hope.

And... I'm pretty sure I'm going to get some B-photos done as a birthday/wedding gift to Honey. Any suggestions on good photographers for that? I'm not a little thing so I'm not the most comfortable with my appearance so I'd love to hear about someone that made a modest girl comfortable.

We used Bakery Nouveau in West Seattle & our cake was wonderful! If you are interested in looking at other cupcakes, Yellow Leaf Cupcakes in Belltown is my all-time favorite.

I didn't orignally want cupcakes either, but then I decided it was perfect for us. We're using Cupcake Royale, they don't have as many flavors as Trophy, but we liked the cupcakes better.

I just looked at yellow leaf's site. OMG!!! I'm not going to use em for the wedding but just may for my daughter's bday next month.

The Yellow Leaf Cupcakes are sooooo good! Even the really strange flavors (which I like to try--wasabi, tomato soup, etc.) are super yummy! Plus, the two owners are really nice.

I could not agree more, Kelli's cakes are absolutely amazing, and Jenny is an awesome photographer and super easygoing and has great energy, it is almost impossible not to feel 100% comfortable with her :)

amanda - last time I checked Jenny had her Bpic prices on her web site. I think she charges 250 or 300 for them. I don't want to look them up now just cause I am at work

Looking at jenny GG's site now... WOW!! I love her work, wish I could afford to use her for the wedding! But.... One of the sets of pics from this weekend is my venue - with some of the same decorations I'm planning on using! Augh! Well, at least I know it will look good!

Boudoir sessions are taken in your home, in my studio or the location of your choice.

Up to four wardrobe changes (lingerie is great, but also consider wearing something of your partner's too!)

Sessions last between 2 to 3 hrs and typically result in 100 or more images to choose from. Sessions are $300 and include a CD of your favorite 15 images from your gallery.

wow, you only get 15 pictures? (then again I'm sure that's normal, I just worked with a very different photographer for my wedding) Does anyone know how much it is if you want more?

This is something I have in mind for a few years from now, but just wanted to get a little info.

I haven't done it but I do have e-pics from her (they are on my bio). I really want to do the b-pics but right now I am studying for the bar and have no job! So it will be a while before I can afford it, but Cheryl is AWESOME. I adore her and I LOVED how our engagement pictures turned out. The marathons are totally the way to go.
