Reception Venue in Middle Georgia...HELP!

My fiance and I will have been engaged for almost a year in July and I really haven't done anything. I would love to get married this year (November or December), but the main delay in planning is the reception venue. I have looked and looked and cannot find a venue that fits our budget and style. Our wedding will be an outdoors, casual celebration. I just want family and friends to come and have a great time. I'm looking for a barn/farm/large secluded area to put some big white tents that will be decorated with lights for a nighttime party.

I know of Pineola Farms in Fort Valley and the Georgia Red Barn in Cochran. Are there any other venues in the Middle Georgia area that I might be able to look into? Or, does anyone know of someone who will rent out their property to me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

http://www.whiskeybondingbarn.com/ - The Whiskey Bonding Barn - Molena, Georgia

http://www.blacksmithshop.net/ - The Blacksmith Shop - Macon, Georgia (this has a beautiful courtyard)

Look around for plantations or riding stables that may host special events as well.  Just the other day I found a Polo Stable north of Atlanta that hosts weddings with exactly the type of ambience you're looking for.

    Thank you!

I knew of the Blacksmith Shop and it is gorgeous, but it is in the city and I was hoping for a more rural location. I didn't know about the Whiskey Bonding Barn so I'm definitely going to look it up! I would LOVE to get married at some of the gorgeous places in North Georgia, but middle georgia is really the most convenient location for our family and friends.

Any tips on how to look up plantations/barns/rural venues and online? I think I've googled every type of barn/plantation/middle georgia word combination, but maybe I'm missing something.

Have you looked at the Georgia State Park website?  Or you can contact them directly.  That could help out :) As for plantations and barns, have you been to http://vrbo.com? I know it's vacation rental, but sometimes folks have barns/farms on here to rent for weddings, too :)

I think I may have found my place on VRBO.com. Thanks for that tip because I didn't even know about the website!

Now let's see if I can get a wedding planned in exactly 6 months and 1 day!
