Candelabra in place of traditional Unity Candle

Hey!

I've been looking around all these monotonous wedding website and I just havn't found that Unity Candle arrangement that just makes me go "Wow! Gotta have that one!" I was on Ebay, and stumbled upon some Candelabra's. They are stunning to say the least. Plus,I just found out my mom, whos 40, used a standing candelabra for her Unity candle ceremony. I'm all about vintage, so this works for me!

What is your opinion? Anyone else using Candelabras? Or something else? (except sand)

    Haha the way i worded it makes my mom sound "Vintage". Oops! The candelbra's on Ebay are vintage. He He He Cool

    Those are beautiful! 

    I also like the vintage look, plus they can actually be used for years and years to come for table centerpieces.  Every time you have a nice dinner, you will be reminded of your wedding.

    Sometimes I use candelabras not for candles, but for flowers.  I stick a little oasis foam in a votive insert (base goes into the candle holder part of the candelabra), and fill it with greenery and a few flowers.

    That would be really nice!  The only logistical issue I foresee would be some possible difficulty getting the tapers in and out of the candelabra to light the center candle.  So you may want to practice that before the ceremony.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    I've seen these used in ceremonies before.  They're beautiful!  As PP said, sometimes a little effort is required in removing and replacing the side candles, but it's totally do-able.  Go for it!
