Removing a veil for the reception

Hi ladies,

I am planning on wearing a veil for my ceremony, but I think I will probably want to take it out for the reception.  I really don't know anything about veils, so I don't know how this works.  If you remove the veil, won't your hair style get really messed up?   I have short hair, which usually requires a lot of hair spray to hold in place.  What are your thoughts?

  • No you will be fine. Just make sure you tell your hairdresser so she does your hair based on removing it. Also have your bm or mom watch at the salon how it was put in so they know how to take it out without causing too much damage to your do.
  • What PP said; mention it at your hair trial run too so you can get some practice in...

  • I agree with PP. What my stylist is doing is styling my hair, and letting me (or BM) put the veil in once I get to the ceremony, since I'll have a 30 min car ride and don't want to fight with the veil the whole time. That way, the veil will just be there and won't play any part in holding up your hair.
