Hi,
I wanted to come on and introduce myself.
I just got engaged. We have set a date but that is all. I always wanted an autumn wedding. We are waiting until 2011 to have the time to set it up the way we want it.
I have listed my wedding in Detroit but I am not sure that's where we are going. I live in Lansing and we may stay around Lansing or go towards Grand Rapids if the venue is what we are looking for.
Are there any good suggestion for really pretty venues with an outdoor wedding in mind?

Hello and welcome. It your looking around the Lansing area too, I would recommend English Inn - not sure what your budget is, but its a beautiful place, at least on the outside! Have heard some wonderful things about the place!

I second the English Inn, it's name describes the outdoor wedding grounds perfectly. They also have a somewhat new banquet hall.

In the Lansing area, the Horticultural Gardens at MSU are absolutely gorgeous in the summertime.
