Help! Bachelorette party ideas!

Ive only lived in Austin for about a year and I'm not a huge party/downtown person.  However, I would love to find some good places to go down town for dinner and then perhaps some kind of club for dancing later?  My younger sister is going but she is only 20 so I'm hoping for something 18&up.  Also, I'm looking for a restaurant that's not going to cost more than 15$ pp (excluding alcohol).  Thanks for any help!

two places that come to mind (dinner wise) are the belmont and la taverna.  i've been to a bachelorette party at the belmont - they reserved a private room upstairs for us that accomodated around 18 girls.  their sandwich and salad options will definitely be under $15.  and la taverna always comes up when we do something girly.  it's affordable, accomodating to large groups and the food is yummy.

I'm considering Cru for dinner.  Love the wine and the atmosphere.  I know the Domain location has small private rooms that can seat about 10...not sure about the 2nd street locale.

I agree that Taverna is also very good.

Tex-Mex and margaritas is always fun, so maybe Iron Cactus on 6th street.

As far as where to go downtown to party with a minor...hmm I have no idea on that one.  I wonder if Pete's Dueling Piano Bar is only 18 and up?  That place is so much fun and I seem to recall going there before I turned 21.  You might just have to call around to a bunch of clubs/bars.  Good luck!

good dinner recommendations above! i believe there is a dance club on 5th that's 18 and up...paradox maybe? i don't know if it's still open. i believe the parish on 6th is 18 and up as well. they usually have concerts there, but sometimes do dance parties i think. you might check there. good luck!
