Cake Tasting

Has anyone done a tasting at Yia Yia's Bakery on Philadelphia Road?? I just scheduled mine and was just wondering other peoples thoughts on them.

Sure thing. Ill tell you though if you want to do a tasting call now. They were already booked up until Sept 12th! That is when my tasting is. There were a few times for that date!

oh wow, i didnt realize they would be that booked either. I have to wait on my venue to give me the voucher for them anyway which will probably be closer to the end of the year.

I know the tastings are free but we are getting married at Mountain Branch golf course and as part of their package they pay for you to get your cake (aka give you a voucher) @ Yia Yias so it would be pointless to do a tasting if I couldnt order my cake then and there

My sister got her wedding cake from there and it was AMAZING. We are Greek, so apparently they let us in (secretly I think we are all related!!) without any drama. I wish I could get my cake from there, but our venue provides a cake that is MUCH cheaper than going outside the catering place. Enjoy it! They have WONDERFUL cakes! Laughing

I'm meeting with them on Monday to see if they can do a brownie cake for us! Crossing my fingers they can!

Just tasted there July 11th and it went really well.  We also had a voucher through Hunt Valley Catering that was great because it covered nearly everything (we opted to upgrade to fondant for some of the cake due to the design).  Cake flavors and fillings were good and they had some fun options like Cannoli filling (YUM).  They were very flexible and prices were reasonable for upgrades (based on what I saw from looking around pre-catering decision). I believe they only do tastings on a few days per month so I think that's why its so booked. Good luck.

I had my cake tasting there 2 weekends ago. All the samples they had tasted great! Even the flavors I normally dont care for were delicious. Im not sure of the lady's name that helped us (im terrible at remembering names) but she was very nice & helpful. They have lots of albums of pictures of cakes they have done to help you put a design together. She even said if there was a design we had in mind to bring in pictures & they would create it. My FI & I picked the design you have shown. But we changed the top tier design & type of ribbon & a few other small details.

    Good Luck!
