My grandmother has offered to let me wear her beautiful wedding gown which I have been in love with since I was around 3. But, in order to do that, it needs to be cleaned and have some alterations done (grandma was a bit thinner then than I am now). I don't want to take this 60 year old dress just anywhere. Does anyone know a place in Missouri that specializes in restoring vintage gowns? I tried the Wedding Attire boards but they said to try the local boards. The Missouri-Kansas City board hasn't yeilded any results. The dress is in the Greater Kansas City area, but I'm in Columbia right now, and going back and forth some to St. Louis, so almost anywhere in Missouri is fine by me. Any suggestions?
