Photographers in the Greensboro Area

Anyone have recommendations for photographers in the Greensboro area? I definitely prefer the laid back "photo journalism" style opposed to more standard. Any suggestions for quality plus good pricing? Thanks!

Ross photography (clicky) in Greensboro sounds like the style you are looking for. He did my friends wedding and the pictures came out great. She said she loves her pictures and he was really laid back which worked well with her personality. He did a great job of portraying the whole evening and getting the candid shots.

I talked to him and was going to have him do my wedidng in Durham but a local photographer offered me a deal I couldn't pass up. Let me know if you have any questions about him. I hope that helps!

    Kellie Kano!!!!!!

We just hired her for our December wedding and I am so excited! She is so nice and down to Earth and her photography style is "photojournalism." You might want to call her sooner rather than later because I'm not sure if she's accepting any more weddings for 2011!

I am also searching for a photographer; however, I am not going to throw thousands of dollars on one.  My fiance` and I have a tight budget, and I am searching for someone that is talented, yet affordable.  I know that new and younger photographers tend to be a lot more affordable, so are there any that anyone recommends?

McCardell Photography -- we used them for our epics and wedding pics this past October, and love them!  Its a husband and wife team.  They have a lot of different packages, so you can go as affordable or expensive as you want, but I did spend a quarter of my entire budget on them because photos were important to me!

(I have most of the pro wedding pics on FB.  If you are interested in seeing a wider selection of their work than on their blog, PM me and I will send you a link)

I'm using Jennifer Smith. She's based in Winston, but travels. She's relatively new to the business, but very professional and she has a good portfolio. Her prices are GREAT and so far I've been really pleased with my engagement pictures and look forward to the wedding. She also brings staff with her and is doing a photo booth for us as well.

Scott Muthersbaugh did our wedding photography, and they came out amazing! I was so happy with how everything looked. I highly recommend him.

Also, Jessica Horton does wonderful stuff as well.

Here are some pics from my wedding:

Kellie is definitely amazing, though i don't think she's actually photojournalism even though she says that - most of her photos are posed.  Finding a photographer is NOT easy at all. we struggled for a long time and found a lot of the ones we really loved were already booked and we're not getting married til next April!

when we were looking we found a lot of really bad photographers on other sites like craigslist, etc but also alot of really good ones. just takes some work to dig em out.

Check those out. There are just a ton of them you don't see on sites like the knot bc it costs a lot of money to list here. Let us know when you found someone!
