Centerpiece advice

I was looking for a way to add bling and I found Pic #1 below. I already have the votives on reserve and they are a great price so definitely doing those. Well then I found pic #2 with the hanging crystals. So now I'm torn. I think I will do either the frames or the hanging crystals. Both would be too much right?  If I do the hanging crystals should I do all of the them or just a few tables? I also found these crystal holders at Michaels if I don't do the frames. Do they fit in? Please help me pick a combo. TIA

p.s. Our tables will have the 3 vases with floating flowers/candle except for a few tables that will have tall centerpieces.

Definitely like the frames more than the holders. The hanging crystals off of the vases, I am not really feeling. So my vote would be the frames with the votives with your floating candles and flowers, no hanging crystals.

edit: If you really want to do the hanging crystals, I would hang them off of the tallest cylinder not all of them.

But again, I don't really like them.

So do you think the frames and votives will look random? Or it provides just enough to serve its purpose? It would be easier to do frames than the hanging crystals.

<div>So you're thinking that doing the hanging crystals helps pull everything in together? i.e. pulls the centerpiece in with the candle holder and frame? </div><div>
</div><div>I don't think it would look random just doing the frame and holder. The vase is still glass. It's not like you are doing the crystal stuff and then using a wooden vase or something. </div>

No it doesn't have to. I just didn't know if it would look like "ok where do these votives and frames fit in?" But you make a point that the vases are glass.

<div>My advice to you is to do mock of the centerpiece and then you could decide. You will know right away what you prefer. Those votives lit are extremely pretty so I am not sure anyone will think to say they don't fit in. They will take in the whole picture of the glitz and the glam<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div>

I like the votives with the frames. No hanging crystals. Are your pieces all going to be tall?

  • Hola! I like the table #frames and the votives. I think those are very pretty together. I would not do the hanging crystal since your centerpiece is submerged. The crystal would be pretty on your taller centerpiece though.

If you want to add more bling you can wrap the three cylinders in a bling wrap.

Similar to these. If you do bling wrap then use a thinner wrap.

But keep in mind less is more with bling. You don't want to cheapen the look

No they are mostly short vases with submerged flowers and floating candles.

I think that's what I need to keep in mind. In my mind I'm trying to make it fit by doing too much.

This is why I ask you all! Thank you!

<div>In this case..definitely don't do hanging crystals. I think the hanging crystals would look better on a taller vase.</div>

  • I'm kind of with Princess. can you just add bling wraps to 1 of the 3 vases you already going to have on the table?
