Wholesale flower markets, ideally in W. or S. Houston?

My uncle, who is a landscape architect / florist in North Dakota, has sweetly (and surprisingly) agreed to do the flowers for my wedding!  Can anyone recommend any wholesale flower markets?  Any info on how they work?  And we're getting married an hour SW of Houston, so something on that side of town would be best!  TIA!

I used to go the wholesale flower markets on Fannin, but in the past 5 years it felt like the flowers were not really priced that reasonably.  I learned this when I shopped for my bouquet for my bridal portraits. The roses I wanted were $18/dozen, and they were small.

I ended up getting my flowers at Sams.com.  I checked Costco.com too, but liked the choices at Sams better.  We had gorgeous roses (red &white) and white hydrangeas. Check out the prices- very reasonable and they deliver to your door (saves an extra step- no travelling). If you need a specific flower- rosesource.com has specific formal names of roses that can be ordered.

We had a high end wedding venue so I had a florist do my bouquet, the  table decorations and church flowers. I  made the boutennieres, all corsages, and the BM bouquets. I saved about $1500 by doing my own. We used the hydrangeas for the rehearsal dinner, little bits for the bouts, and for the cake and gift tables at the reception.

I priced out Central Market and for long stem roses they were $1.50 which were cheaper than the wholesaler I called in Dallas... I am not sure where they are in Houston though..

Thanks girls.  I'm actually going to be looking for sunflowers mostly, if that helps.

I'd call Central Market and ask.  They can order other flowers.  I had only called for roses to gauge the prices since most of my arrangement will be roses.  I did call one Wholesale Florist in Houston and they had a huge minimum order around $1000 or so or will require a Wholesale Tax ID (which I have, but I wouldn't reach that $1000 since its out of my budget).  I don't remember the place, but have you tried

    Greenleaf Wholesale Florist
    Pikes Peak of Texas
    Taylor Wholesale Florist

These are all downtown-ish, but from my experience most wholesale places are in downtown areas...

I don't post much on here, but I wanted to say, I'm getting my flowers from Kroger. I'm getting 15 dozen Tulips for $106. My FMIL is making them for me.
