I'm getting married in October 2012 and I'm looking to have my ceremony and reception at a restaurant. Preferably in Manhattan or lower Westchester. Only having 40 guests and I'm trying to keep it under $100pp.
In White Plains there is a really good restaurant called Aquario that might be good fit. I have had a couple of parties there and they are pretty reasonable (about $75 pp) the will fullycustomize their menu for your day etc.
You can try Capital Grille on 42nd Street in the Chrysler Building. I think their dinner packages start at $70 in the private rooms of varying sizes. Also there is The National and Fresco by Scatto.
There is also Villa Barone in the Bronx that is in that range.
In lower Westchester you can try Antun's if Westchester. And at the Ritz Calrton in White Plains there is a restaurant called 42.
City Hall Restaurant might work. If you are willing to go to the Bronx there are a lot of restaurants in Throgs Neck that will work like Tosca Cafe, Louis Seafood, Spoto's Wine Bar just to name a few. Mario's in Bronx's Little Italy would work too.
One and only caterer I would recommend is Creative Foods Catering
I used them last year for my wedding and everything was fantastic. Their cost was fraction of any quotes I received from other caterers. The menu was filled with all upscale items such as Filet Mignon, Salmon, Crab Cakes etc.
They allowed me to provide liquor (a big money saver!!) they provided bartenders and all other staff. You even choose the staff’s uniform!! We used a raw wedding venue in Manhattan for 150 guests.
