JP communication?

I'm just wondering how often you ladies heard from your officiant or JP before your wedding? My JP asked us to get him our ceremony selections a couple of weeks ago which we did. I haven't heard anything from him at all. The wedding isn't untl the end of October but is this normal? I guess I expected some kind of a response or something since he asked us for the material. We didn't really hunt around, we just met with the person our venue recommended and we heard good things about him so we just booked him. I'm just kind of confused.

    If it helps we booked out JP in March and havent heard from her until this week and our wedding is 9/10. We will be meeting with her this weekend to go over our ceremony selection, so no I dont really think its that unusual. Of course if it makes you feel better I'm sure he wouldnt mind if you contacted him. Good luck

    I think its normal.  Our JP said he wont contact us until a month before the wedding to finalize everything but if we had questions we can email him.  We booked him in Feb or our Sept 12 wedding.

    It's normal.  We booked our JP a year before we got married, and didn't have contact again until about a month before the wedding.
