I had the most cracked-out wedding dream last night. On top of many, many other weird things, I was at the venue in just regular clothes, I hadn't put on my dress yet. And at some point musicians started playing and I thought "oh crap I'm going to miss my own ceremony" and I ran outside to find a bunch of people in a processional, including a crazy looking old lady carrying "my" dress, singing "Here Comes the Dress! Here Comes the Dress" (to the tune of "Here Comes the Bride).

And to top it all off-this dress that was supposed to be "mine" was long sleeved, Ren-Faire style, with this awful beading all over it. Definitely not my dress.

It's going to be a long 5 months + of weird wedding dreams!

Haha, my cracked out dreams about weddings always involve me flipping out on my FILs. I think my dreams are telling me something...

Oh that reminds me! When I saw the dress and started to flip out-my FMIL was standing next to me and she informed me that she had decided I would wear the "family" dress.

I am still at work but I should be leaving in bit. I thought I was done with my xmas shopping but I still have a few people on my list. I am going to try and knock those out tonight.

I'm here, but I'm also in a blah mood. I think I am officially at the point where my metabolism is slowing down big time because I'm eating well and managing to gain weight. Not happy.

Also, just having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit. The lack of snow is really depressing.

Dodgers, I'm doing OK. The holiday season is taking its toll on me emotionally; didn't realize how hard the first Christmas without a loved one would be. I did all my shopping, but it did feel a bit like going through the motions.

Shan - I don't mind no snow, but the rain is sucking.

I am really sorry you are going through this. Even after 10+ year of my dad no longer being here the holidays are still hard. I hope it gets easier for you. I am here if you need to talk.

Hi Jul, I am doing ok too. I am getting over a wicked viral infection so that sucks. It kind of ruined my birthday. I wish I had east coast hours. I jinx myself because it doesn't look like I'll be leaving soon. I try to pop in here and there. I do lurk though so I am out there. That sounds creepy but I don't mean it that way.

This exactly. She always come to my parents house for like 3 weeks so I'm almost dreading going home to that void.

Dodgers, I'm sure it'll get easier. My grandma wasn't old; got sick out of nowhere and died. I still have a lot of anger that I need to get passed to start healing.

I am working also. Looking forward to my 3 days off! I have nothing interesting to talk about. Work is pretty much dead. I have 5 rooms coming in, and 12 rooms total sold at the hotel tonight.

Dodgers- Did you change your date? I can't remember if you did, we were talking about it the other day.

I am so ready for Christmas! We are now going out of town for Christmas day to be with his dad and step mom. His mom is not real happy that we are not going to be there for the day, but we have to do what is best for us

And he hasnt spent the whole day Christmas with his dad in YEARS, so we are thrilled to do it this year
