Yet another cry for help...

Let me know if I'm posting too much or too many questions...

Question of the day is,

I have been to a bunch of wedding with props (hats, maracas, masks, leis, etc), but none in the past few years.  Is this "out"?  I always thinks they help break the ice and am a huge prop user myself, but ... I don't know!

Advice, please?  Also, what props do you recommend, if you do?

I have only really seen props at a wedding when there is a photobooth.  I think if you're having one, then it's a lot of fun for the guests who want to do the photobooth.

Unless you're doing a themed wedding (like Mardi Gras/Hawaii wedding or something) I personally think that the props would be out of place, if they were just on tables or something.

Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

I've been to plenty of weddings with props that we used on the dance floor and it was so much fun!  We had boas, sombreros, maracas, plastic instruments....it was such a great time.

If thats what your into, then use props!  Dont plan your whole wedding around "whats trendy or in".  Do what feels right and fits you and FI.  Thats whats going to make your day memorable and the best day of the rest of your lives.

There's no such things as too many questions on here! Ask away! I have heard of using props at weddings on the dance floor and for photo booths. I didn't use any but if I were to go to a wedding with them I would definately use them! haha.  I agree that if that is what you want than do it!!!!!! It is YOUR wedding and it should be a reflection of you and your FI.

My friend had boas, maracas, sunglasses, sombreros, etc at her wedding.  The DJ handed it out for different songs (my friend actually supplied the stuff) and it was so much fun and the pictures are great...so I say do it!

I think the use of props really depends on the crowd.  A more conservative group would not do well with them but a relaxed upbeat crowd might.
