FQ Brides - Hair in salon

Hey Ladies,

I've been searching the threads like mad to find suggestions for hair stylists and have not found too many that are actually in a salon. I have emailed the onsite stylists (i.e. Just Face It, Two Sisters, etc) but am interested in a place I can actually walk to or have a short drive to, also. I am googling places but would love to hear personal recommendations.

    Kinetix is in the quarter.
    My daughter used the spa upstairs for manis/pedis only for her bridesmaids, but there were 2 brides getting their hair done downstairs (and they looked great!).

    I don't have a personal recommendation, but there is an Aveda salon inside the Canal Place shopping center. I am sure they do full hair and makeup services.

    Have you booked your hotel yet? Some have in-house salons. Can't think of any off the top of my head, but I can ask around and get back to you. :)

    I know the Ritz Carlton has a full service salon and I believe Hotel Monteleone does as well.

    I recently did a trial (and booked for my wedding day) with Melissa at Rocket Science on Elysian Fields.  It's technically not in the FQ but I walked there from the Omni Royal in 15 minutes or less.

    I was very happy with my trial and Melissa, she was very nice and patient with me wanting to try a few different things.  As one of the yelp reviews notes, it is a bit hipsterish.  My dress has a vintagey feel and I'm getting married at the HOB so it was a good fit for me :)
