I'm literally a month away from the wedding, and i have everything, except the favors!!!! not sure what to give out. something that's not that expensive. can you give me a help on this???
I agree with redhead! If you do choose to do them, I'd go with edible. M&M's can be a great/cheap favor. As long as you don't buy the personalized ones, IMO they are a waste of money.
An easy edible favor are cookies. You could get sugar cookies and decorate them with your monogram, or Mr & Mrs, or anything sort of quick and easy. You could do it all yourself or lots of cookie places will decorate them for a fee. The cookie decorating is also an easy way to incoroprate your wedding colors, especially if you love them!
Bubbles are also inexpensive, for super cheep you can get bubbles that don't have a lable on them, then print your own on sheets of address labes and your computer. Or if you don't want to do that most printing places do address label types so you could have them do it. Your names, the date and a heart or a bird or some champagne glasses are always nice.
One of my favor ideas is a crossword, it goes really well with my theme and it's super cheep because you can do them online for free, so you'd only have to pay for the paper and the printing costs, it may not fit with your wedding or your personality,
this late in the game, edible is the way to go. i agree with a cookie or M&Ms/kisses/etc
are you having a dessert bar or anything? we'll have italian cookies in addition to cake and cannolis so part of our favor is a simple 'doggy bag' kind of box for people to take home treats!
Ditto all PP's. Edible is the way to go but if you can't decide on something, don't stress out about it. Just skip them, no one will really miss them anyway.

Just do the donation thing...? Favors (unless they are edible or something useful like a candle or soap) usually just get thrown away anyway. Why not put your money into something where it will be appreciated in the name of your wedding... and then just explain the lack of favors on thank-you cards? Not only will your guests understand that there are no favors for a good reason... but they will appreciate that you are a kind and giving person (or people, I should say)!!
I am making mini cupcakes for my favors, but only because they're fall themed (caramel + pumpkin cupcakes) like the rest of the wedding... and they're amazing and something that I'm sure guests will truly enjoy (really, the only thing that involved cooking/baking that I'm actually good at :P ). In addition, we will be donating to a charity (the Michigan Humane Society).
