  I too think it's a HUGE risk, unless you've already tried on some dresses and know exactly what details you want. But yes like PPs have said, depending on the design it could be more money, time and stress than it's worth.

  I do know exactly what I want it to look like. I've worked int he bridal industry for almost 10 years
  I already have the exact mockup that I want done, and it'll actually come in a bit under my budget according to her. I have read her reviews and privately contacted a few of her customers to ask for totally honest, straight forward reviews... all of which were great.

  Nope, not going the custom route.. already have my dress. But that would be pretty cool if you know exactly what you want and it sounds like you do. So congrats! I definitely want to see pictures when it is finished

  I thought of it because I didn't think I'd be able to find exactly what I wanted, or should I now say thought I wanted. I went in a complete different direction with my dress purchase.
