Yep, they catered our rehearsal dinner.  We also go to their restaurant all the time, the food is delicious.  Beth is good to work with.  I recommend.

Do you have any specific questions?

Well, like I said, Beth did our rehearsal dinner.  And Visions did our reception.  We had mini quiche at both.  Rosa Mae's was better.  None of the other foods overlapped.

I felt like Visions was trying to fit my wedding into their mold.  It was fine for what we were going for, and I pushed them a bit and had some things customized.  If I could do it again I'd choose Rosa Mae's over Visions.  Even though I don't really have any complaints about Visions.

I just read your reviews & I see that you went w/ Visions for your wedding, what were the deciding factors for you? Would you have done things differently? I also had called Edible Artistry & didn't get a good vibe from our first conversation & judging by your review I'm glad I didn't go w/ them! I ended up putting a deposit down w/ Delicious Bakery...but that was before I tried the cake at Rosa Mae's & haven't been able to stop thinking about it since! I may have to go by the cafe tomorrow! lol

Basically the deciding factor was that our reception was brunch food and Rosa Mae's doesn't serve that type of food.  I figured since Visions "did" that type of thing they were the ones we should go with.  In hindsight (like I'd said above, I think the knot ate my post for a while) I think it'd have been better if I'd have gone with Rosa Mae's.

I was way more pleased with the servers Rosa Mae's had then those at Visions as well.  Some of the Visions people were a little quick to bus tables.  A couple guests had their plates grabbed before they were finished.  We had a buffet so it turned out okay, but I was a little put out that it happened at all.

I need to add a Rosa Mae's review to my bio.  Thanks for reminding me.  I should also add one for the Briles House, which is where we had the rehearsal dinner.  It's the HP Junior League house on Main st.  It worked well for our group of 60ish and they were easy to work with.

we are getting married at Castle McChulloch, we are using the great hall & doing a room reset for the reception & both are vendors on the prefered list, we've met with both & cost wise they are similar, Rosa Mae's maybe slightly more, but we liked them, they are also willing to put our center peices on the tables for us where visions said that we could put them on the tables ourselves & they'd light the candels..not really a big deal, but one less thing to worry about, I figured if we go w/ Rosa Mae's I would have her do the cake & maybe use the deposit at Delicious toward the groom's cake : ) your reviews have been so helpful, especially since you've used both that we are considering

We had shrimp and grits, 3 kinds of quiche, biscuits, gravy, country ham, fruit, assorted breads (constants, muffins).  A coffee bar with different flavored syrups.  Champagne and different juices (apple, orange, cranberry), and instead of an omlette station we just did scrambled eggs and toppings.  There was other stuff too but I forget what now, I didn't get to eat much of it.
