Hello All:

Has anybody been there for a wedding and did you like it? Looking for reception halls now around 100 a person with a ceremony site....any good ideas out there?

Thanks!

    Hello,
We looked at the Waterfall. Their patio is GORGEOUS! As for the inside, it was nice but it could use some updating in a couple areas. It wasn't fresh and crisp. But it was nice and they include EVERYTHING in their package.

I dont know if you are interested in getting out of Delaware but we were trying to stay at the same budget and we found the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia. We got exactly what we wanted for $100 a person (chicken & beef). Erica, the coordinator is awesome!!! If you want her contact info, let me know. You can email me at lilvalval26@yahoo.com

Hi!  I attended a wedding at the Waterfall about 3 yrs ago.  I do not recall how many banquet rooms are there but, the reception I attended was in a large room- approx. 150 were present and we were not cramped.  The open bar was not in the reception room but located adjacent to the restrooms (these were nicely stocked and very clean).  The waterfall portion of the hall (outside) is a nice place for pics (we took group shots there) and the bride and groom had another location on site to take pics.  I do not recall anything fabulous about the location but, I do not recall anything bad either.  My friend has not mentioned anything negative either and we did have a really nice time.

We are having our ceremony and reception at the Christiana Hilton- once we compared pricing to the Waterfall it was removed from our list.

I've never been to a wedding or event there so I dont know about the inside or food.  However, I do live nearby and pass the Walterfalls often when there are weddings.  It looks like they've tried to create picture spots in the front where the waterfall is, but to me it just looks waaaaaay too close to Philadelphia Pike.  I love privacy, so the idea of standing out in front of passing cars to take pictures is not appealing at all.

Never been to the Waterfall but I believe they are run by the same people as Lamberti's Cucina, a restaurant I like a lot.  We are having our wedding and reception at The Farmhouse in Wilmington.  It's cheaper than what you are looking for at 70-80 a head depending on what food you choose, but the grounds where you get married are very pretty and the inside is beautiful and cozy.

I just attended my cousin's wedding there in September, and it was done very nicely.  We weren't cramped, and the food was delish.  A couple of things to keep in mind, though:

If you are planning on having your ceremony there, make sure you don't do it when mosquitos are in full force.  Because of all the water they have around the location, they were eating us alive.
Make sure you do a sound check with the DJ.  We were over near one of the walls opposite the DJ's platform, and had problems hearing him- like all the sound was being directed in only one area.
That was our only complaints.  FYI, if you have 20 year olds who think they can get away with drinking, like at some other weddings, think again- they card on the spot.

Good luck finding your venue!  I am using Executive Banquet off of 896, and we are very pleased with pricing and how much it includes.  If you would like more info, page me!

I've heard it's nice, but that they are really close to Philly Pike.

I got married at the Farmhouse and they included everything, and it was about $70 a person.

While I have never been to a wedding there, I have attended several functions.  The facility is nice but I was not impressed with their buffet food.  I like Lamberti's but it did not seem to have the same quality.  The sit down dinner would probably be better.  Parking is great.  I would not worry about Philly Pike.  It is super easy to get to since 495 is 2 seconds away.
