We are using JL Photografia (www.jlphotografia.com) they are out of Pacific Grove and will travel. Some others that we met with and really considered are:

www.encarnacionphotography.com (Joanne and Jonathan are a goofy husband and wife team. We really liked them)
www. liliaphoto.com (she is out of San Francisco)
www.winkphotography.com (she is out of Santa Cruz)

They are all in the $3000-$5000 range. Keep in mind that most photographers will work with your budget.

He's in Sacramento but travels. He did a wedding Mountain View recently and is doing mine in Campbell. He's super reasonable and pricing starts under $2000.

we went with Terra Tabbytosavit. excellent pictures and she's really great to work with in person, but some have had problems in the past with communicating with her. she's gotten a ton better and i definitely recommend her.

ENCARNACION PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

we LOVED them and pricewise, they were a total steal for the work they did. Our wedding was May 1st and they posted our slideshow yesterday so they are pretty quick too.

i can't rave enough about them- we didn't even notice they were there which was the best part. we got amazing photos and didn't have anyone in our face or telling us to "look here". they were fun, easy, and took a lot of stress away.
