Anyone know of a house to rent on the water?

I am looking to rent a house on the water for after the ceremony.  It is going to be low key and very casual.  Probably 30-40 people.  I am looking in the mid coast area, but have not ruled out southern maine.  Probably doing the ceremony at The Boothbay Botanical Gardens, but have not booked it yet. They are a liitle pricey for the space, so I am leaving my options open until I find a house for after the ceremony.

Actually, I would love to rent the house for the weekend.  Not everyone would be staying overnight, probably 10 or 12 people.  Most of the rentals I found were for the week, Sat afternoon to Sat. afternoon (which I will do if the house and price are right   Friday to Monday would be perfect. Ideally, I would like to get married on Saturday, but it looks like it will be Sunday.

Sorry, don't know of any places on the water but VRBO and HomeAway.com were how I found the house we're renting.  Another place to try is wedding photographer's blogs.  Try googling for Maine photographers and look through their blogs.  I love doing this because you see details and you can see what the venue looks like in pictures.

whats your price range?? if you dont mind me asking, also have you considered maybe even having the ceremony on the water at a house?it would save you money on renting another place and put more money to the rental or food.  have you thought about nh lakes region at all??

I would prefer the ocean over a lake, however we have not ruled anything out.  Ideally I would like a  house rental  $1000.00/for 3 days.  Most rentals
I am finding are by the week.  So my budget is 2000.00 for the week.  If the house was big enough and has the right setting I would definitely get married there and forgo the botanical gardens therefore increasing the house budget.
Do you know of somewhere in NH?
