I usually post on my local and club boards, but no one on them has any helpful comments to this question-- I'm hoping you girls will!
A friend of mine who does modeling told me that instead of spending the money on MAC for the wedding, I should try a brand called NYX. She apparently uses it all the time. Has anyone ever used this? Is their foundation as good as MAC's?

    They seem like a reasonably priced brand, but I have never used their makeup before. I usually only use Bare Escentuals or Urban Decay depending on the event. I wouldn't recommend using a makeup that you've never used before -- you don't know how it will react with your skin, and if you are comfortable with MAC you should stick with that.

    i use nyx but only for color, I still spend my money on smashbox for my foundation and primer, and buy a good mascara, but I have blushes, bronzers, eyeshadow and liner from them, and it is all very nice, lasts well and is good quality especially for the price.
