Missing RSVPs

I've officially contacted or delegated contacting for all of the missing RSVPs. I mainly sent out emails and facebook messages or asked my FMIL, my dad, or my aunt to make the call. LOL

Now I sit and wait. BAH!

WHY U NO SEND RSVP BY DEADLINE!!???!!!

If everyone that's left RSVPs no (which I'm ASSUMING they would at this point since they're all from out of town) we'll be down to like, 150 people which would be AWESOME. LOL

What sucks it that I have NO means of contacting about 10 of these people other than snail mail cause I don't know their phone numbers and no one I know knows their phone numbers. />.< so dumb. I gave the names to my dad to see if he can track them down.

Have the married people in these rsvps forgotten what it's like to plan a wedding?!?!?1

Re: Missing RSVPs

  • I have about a week and a half until mine are due and I was missing a bunch. My wonderful FMIL called me and told me who was and wasn't coming. I don't have to worry about whether or not they will send in their RSVP. The only thing I have done so far is contact my FI's friends to see if they're coming because they live in New York and we have a suite they can use if they come but we want to get an idea now rather than later.

I can see how frustrating it is though and I would be mad if people just decided not to send it in because they know you know whether or not they're coming.

It blows my mind that people who are already married and know what it's like to plan a wedding can't even be bothered to send a card back. It's like "really?" you know what it's like. RSVP's are the worst lol!
  • These were people that I don't even have a CLUE if they will or won't be there. A LOT of my family is from out of town and a lot of them actually did RSVP "yes"!

I think most of the missing RSVPs are going to be "No"s since they are from out of town... but we'll see... thankfully there's only 7 people I can't get ahold of and with a Hor D'oeurves / Semi-Open bar it doesn't make a huge difference. :)

I'm trying not to stress but it IS irritating that I spent all that money on postage and stationary and the time and effort in making those invites and they can't send the SELF ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE back!!??

  • Yea I am upset that I wasted money on putting stamps on them but than I thought "they will probably think I am tacky and horrible for not putting one on" so I did it but really it's not that hard to put a name and a # next to a yes or no and put it in your mailbox. I saved you an extra step!

  • No kidding! I just don't get it. Ugh.

  • We are down to four people who we are still waiting to hear from.  I feel good about this, but those four people are still preventing me from doing the seating chart and calling in our final head count.  We have one friend who hasn't RSVPed, and one friend who hasn't told me if she and her son would prefer to sit with our friends or with her in laws (I texted her yesterday). This will actually make the difference between all of our college friends fitting at two tables, or splitting them up between three tables and mixing them in with some of my cousins.  I feel so silly that a little thing like this is frustrating me so much!

Best of luck with getting all of your RSVPs in as well!

My RSVP deadline is this Saturday and I think I'm still missing 25 RSVP cards or so (i.e. about 50 people).  A few of them I know are coming/not coming, but I'm trying to wait until I get the actual card to mark them off on my Excel speadsheet.

I had a friend of mine tell me at my shower that "oops" she still hasn't sent hers in but I know she is coming (she's already booked her flight and hotel).  I do know that, but how hard is it to send in the card!?

LOL! My Mom married my Dad in 1983 and she said her wedding invites was just one card put in one envelope with no RSVP's...Life really was simpler back then LOL!
