"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

If you're asking about the "theme" for your wedding, I think "Fiveft and noftin just got married. Come and celebrate with us." is perfect. Your wedding doesn't need a theme. Choose a color palette and move forward. IMO, themes are for children's birthday parties.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
My first inclination would be Victorian, or maybe Gothic. Not sure how vintage you're thinking, you might be thinking more retro modern than either of those genres.
I agree with PP's that you don;t need a theme. Plan a wedding that you and your FI want that incorporates your "coupleness" ( I may have just made that word up) If you happen upon a theme than great, but just remember that the most important part of your wedding is the act of actually marrying one another, you don't need a theme to express that to anyone.
You don't need a theme. We didn't have one. I had a vision and ideas in mind, and went for it. I think the whole theme thing is a bunch of bs if you ask me.
We had planned on a full-blown Old Hollywood theme, complete with structuring the whole shebang more like a film premiere than a wedding, but that sort of went out the window along with the discount on our dream venue. We ended up going for a vaguely vintage feel in our attire, and had a filmstrip motif that carried through all the stationery. Other than that, the "theme" was just "let's have fun."
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
We are getting married in early October and going with a Vineyard Harvest theme and using shades of plum/sangria, wine bottles, grapes and corks as decorations. My fiance and I enjoy going to wineries, so it works.

Neither do I.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

You shouldn't force a theme, just go with the flow.
