Is this a little ridiculous?

I am not sure if I am over thinking this, so I thought I'd ask you ladies who will (kindly) tell me if I am making too much of it. We are having a DW in New Orleans and we are currently trying to coordinate our next one or two planning trips. Trying to be as organized and effective on each trip as these travel expenses start adding up. One of the things I need to accomplish on the next trip is hair & makeup trials. But I really don't want FI to see what I will look like on the day of or to know anything about my dress, etc. It's starting to be a hassle because I need him there for all the other tasks (tastings, E-pics, tuxedos, etc). He suggested that he fly home early and leave me there (or have my mom fly in on last day for trials and other girly details) to take care of trials without him so he won't see (he's very accommodating to my craziness which is why I love him so;)....am I making too much of this?? Should I just give up on the idea of him not seeing me in wedding hair & makeup? I really want him to be amazed and surprised on the wedding day. Help...

  • Just because he is in new orleans the same time u are getting your hair and make up done why does that mean he has to be at the salon? Cant you get it done and then like.. take a shower?

  • I was thinking that too...but that thought process is in keeping with my question...is it ridiculous? Sounds you are saying it is not (which I like to hear). That is probably the most practical solution. Oh and the trials will be in our hotel room because the MUA and hair stylist do on-location only.

  • 1.  That is awesome that your MUA and stylist will come to your room.

    2.  I don't want my FI to know what I'm going to look like either that day.  He has a general idea (natural make up & an up-do).  I would just wash up the make up and brush your hair out after the trail and continue on with your day.

I think having him leave earlier might be a good idea. Personally, I feel like part of the trial is seeing how long the hair and make up will hold up! Of course my hair can only hold a style for 35 seconds normally so I may be a special case.
