Kind of nervous

I booked my venue in Jan an since then rates have gone up. I cannot look at my venue online its sooo beautiful but the new rates are freaking me out. I'm scared when the day comes I need to make the payment there going to charge me the higher rates. I have a contract and email stating I have 2011 menus, but I'm a little paranoid.

I also feel like I'm at a stand still with my planning. With the big items complete I feel like its to early to start on my DIY items.

On a bright side the cost to stay at my venue for the night of my wedding should my guests want to went down over 50% lol

I'm freaking out about my budget too ... I've had a few unexpected expenses come up and FI too were both strapped for cash, which is not helping Cry

Any one else have any kind of paranoia's ....

    Same here about the 2011 price thing.  We met with our venue coordinator a few weeks ago and I reconfirmed that we were still with the 2011 prices and they said yes, but then I emailed her again to confirm in writing, even though it's also in our contract.  It freaks me out!

    It's soooo nerve wracking I love my place but there is no way we could afford it with prices now total cost of going up with what we have would be additional $8k <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif" border="0" alt="Surprised" title="Surprised" /> I am sooo happy we got in on 2011 prices lol

    I freak out about the budget every day. Like you said, things just keep coming up that keep us from saving as much as I'd like to. I think as long as you signed the contract that says a certain price, that should be the price you pay. I don't think they can raise it on you unless it says they can in the contract.
    I also feel the same about the planning. All the major stuff is taken care of for the most part, and I feel like I'm wasting time by not doing anything, and I too feel it's a little too early to start on the few DIY projects we have. You're not alone!

    Hmm I will have to look at my contract because my venues prices are going up in November, wonder what pricing I am at.

    I too freak out daily about the budget. And moreso because there are some things that are currently not in there that I am desperate to have back in, so Im working doubly hard to try and get these items added back in. These include:
    - I'd like to rent a convertible so FI and I can drive away in something "fun"
    - I told FI I am determined for us to have a place to stay the night of the wedding (currently not in the budget)
    - The RD is not in the budget either, but Im working hard to keep costs down and get most of it done with spare money we have (like my allowance money) so this wont be a shock later.

    I haven't even thought of rd place ... I'm hoping mil won't mind people coming back to her house.
