Yes, I will drink, but hopefully I will be able to control myself and pace it out. We have so much to do the next day that I don't want to be hungover. I think my FI is planning to drink a LOT, though.
I will probably have a drink beforehand to relax and pace myself during. I din't drink very much so after 2-3 drinks, I start to feel it. FI and I are not big drinkers so a few will be enough for us.
I will definitely have a glass of champagne and maybe a cocktail, but I have a feeling we will all be so busy greeting guests and mingling that it will be hard to get drunk! I have seen the groom at weddings pretty wasted, but rarely the bride My mother would be horrified if I was drunk at my own wedding LOL
I don't drink a lot so maybe 1 or 2 glasses of wine, tops. I feel sick if I have more than 1 glass at night. So if it is spread out during the day, I could probably drink a little bit more, but no more than 1-2 glasses after dinner.
I wonder why it is that grooms can get drunk but that people are horrified by drunk brides?
Although I'm not willing to get drunk just to prove my feminist point. Alcohol is very bad for my health, I get irritations for days if I have a few glasses, plus it makes me sleepy. So I'll have a sip of sparkling wine during the toast, and that's it.

This took me a long time to admit, but I have come to terms with the fact that I am one of those people who should not be drinking to the point of being drunk. I have a difficult time controlling myself. Once I get to a certain point, I don't have the same cut off as most (I don't realize "ok I've had enough for the night") and will just keep drinking. I also have unpredictable moods - most of the time I'm happy, but at times I'll get really emotional (either sad or angry) for no reason.
I started partying at a pretty young age (15ish), and had a BLAST through university, but this past year or so I have hardly drank. I save it for special occasions and often am the DD. I restrict myself almost completely to beer and wine (hard liquor is not good for me - I'll only drink it if I'm having a fancy drink with dinner)
So, the point of my ramblings hahah - I will be drinking in moderation on my wedding day. I'll probably have a mimosa in the morning with my girls, and a few glasses of wine or champagne through the reception. Maybe get a little buzzed, but not drunk. FI is always a "happy drunk" so I won't be surprised if he drinks a little more than me, and I'm ok with that. As long as he doesn't puke or pass out on our wedding night hahah
I will probably have some wine and a bit of champagne. One of my bridesmaids said hee will not allow me to drink and get wasted so I think I'll be good. I don't drink all that much anymore anyways and want to remember the day. I'll just have to drink white wine instead of red because knowing me I'll get it all over myself if I have red wine.

It's crazy how many I can go through. Left unrestrained - I'd probably drink 5 or 6 cans a day. Due to cost and trying to not be TOTALLY addicted to caffiene, I drink a maximum of 3, on average 2 cans a day.

I've seen a drunk groom once and that was my ex boyfriend's brother.
Never a drunk bride.
But nobody in my family is big drinkers - well let me take that back - half of my family are alcoholics - but they hide it and aren't big public drinkers. They're more a "I drink alone" 5 days a week type.

Hahahaa I'm concerned about this as well! I'm a thirsty person, I drink lots of water. Plus the alcohol, I'm sure I'll have to go tons of times! Lol not really sure how to solve this..
I will definitely be drinking. I won't be drunk like a skunk (bahaha)..but I will have a nice buzz the whole night! and in agreement with k8888, I don't want to be peeing all night...I tend to pee A LOT when I'm drinking...
But...we *are* having a customized coffee bar (think mini-starbucks) and I plan on having a TON of iced mochas and lattes. Our vendor (a local coffee shop) is even letting us design our own signature drink!
i plan to stick with a few glasses of wine and champagne during the toasts. no liquor, that would just end up being bad news, but i want to enjoy myself and i LOVE wine, so i am just planning to stick with a few drinks that will keep me relaxed and happy that i will enjoy the most.
Re: QOTD - poll included!
I will be drinking but I hardly ever get out of control. My dad is making mimosas for us girls in the am.
My drinking is a buzz that makes me happier then normal and I feel like I'm wearing rose coloured glasses.
