So it turns out that my yard of fabric to make my one-shoulder strap with has been stuck in customs for over a week....AWESOME. it isn't going to be here for another two weeks. So I am going to have my first fitting this Saturday to take care of the other stuff, then once the fabric comes in, will have my second fitting when the seamstress takes care of the strap.
UGH so frustrating, but hopefully it will get out of customs soon....it has to go from customs, to the designer, to my bridal boutique, which could potentially take even longer than two weeks.
My question is this - I tried my dress on, but haven't met with the seamstress yet. My bridal consultant insisted that my dress fit me perfectly throughout the bust/bodice, but I swear, it was slipping all over the place despite her lacing up the corset really tightly. I almost had a few "nip slips" just walking around the boutique, that's how loose it was in the bust. It really did fit my waist and hips perfectly, I am just worried about my small chest situation.
Did any of you with corset back dresses have to get your dress taken in around the bust? My consultant was under the impression that since it had a corset, I wouldn't need anything taken in, but I am not so sure if I believe her.
(sorry about being a PW today - I am procrastinating at work and these are the things my busy mind is worrying about today).
