Naples are Recommendations

Hi Ladies! I am looking for recs on venues, florists, djs, whatever in the Naples area. A friend of mine is trying to plan a wedding in that area within the next 2 months. I live in Sarasota but have only been here for a year, so I am not real familiar with the area. My FI and I are actually getting married in TX so I am not much help to her!

She is wanting a more casual affair with 100-150 guests. She is a very laid back, fun girl so a venue with that feel would be great.

She does not want to pay more than $1000 for a dj.  This is all I know at the time.

ANY info would be greatly appreciated!

I am a Naples bride!  I haven't booked my DJ yet, but through the small research I have done I have noticed that you can get most for 6 hours under $1000.

We booked Jason Angelini for photgraphy, we are paying a travel fee of $250 but it is still WAY less expensive than most of the photogs in Naples.

As far as venues I know the public beaches have a nominal fee to actually hold the ceremony there.

    GL!

Moonstone:We are getting married at the Stonegate Mansion off of Hulen in Ft. Worth. We are both from DFW...kinda. He grew up in Flower Mound and I grew up in Burleson and Houston but went to college at UNT.

Very nice.  I grew up in Bedford.  My parents live in Southlake now (well, my dad has a business in Florida so he goes back and forth).

I have some friends who went to UNT.  I went to Texas (still bummed about last night's game)

mee2bs-I booked AMC Video about 6 months out.  I absolutely love what they do with the Director's Cut and my wedding planner says that are the best in Southwest Florida.  They are very careful about staying to the side and capturing the event.  Good luck!

    Hi everyone,

We got married last May in Fort Myers and had a fantastic wedding. All of our vendors were great with the exception of AMC video. We both thought that we should post this review just because the customer service was so poor.

On the day we found the staff of AMC video with AnnMarie to be professional, helpful and very discreet. We had very high expectations of the final product and while the video itself is quite good the customer service has been horrible. Before our wedding and after we were told the video would be ready in about 20 weeks, it was actually ready in about 40 weeks. We could understand a slight delay but this was a bit ridiculous. What we found quite upsetting is that the owners of the company did not seem to care, were rude in email when we asked as to what the progress was and never apologized or offered any compensation for such a delay. What we were given was the option to review a preview of the video and give feedback. We asked for some more footage of our family but were told that this footage did not exist. After a few heated exchanges through email the footage miraculously appeared and could be added to our video. We would say if you have to use them because you want a video just be prepared for a lengthy wait and very bad customer service.
