Wedding Woes

2 (oldish) movie reviews from the weekend:

The Forgotten.
This kinda had potiental.  And I like Julianne Moore.  But they did a lousy job of answering their own questions and they kinda just ended it w/o any closure...but they didn't end it in that "huh, are the evil monsters really in charge, M. Night. Shamalan" type of way, or even a stretch to the  "huh, was it a dream or not" way.  They just went "Okay, that's enough twists.  Let's create a resoution out of thin air that doesn't answer anything and make it a happy ending.

Don't reccomend.

RED
The casting was AHMAZING!11elevnity11umlaut1one
Bruce Willis.  Morgan Freeman, Mary Louise Parker, John Malcovich, Helen Mirren...and they played well together .
It had a bit of a 'comic book' feel--not 'the dark night and his caped boy wonder' comic book, more of a 'somewhat contrived, slightly over-the-top, but still feels fairly realistic' action-movie way.

It didnt' feel 'dumbe ddown' to me, in spite of being a comic-y action movie--it wasn't a thriller, it didn't have to much nudity or over-the-top violence.
I liked it a lot.
Reccomend.

[QUOTE]the forgotten was almost good, until it turned completely ridiculous when the woman disappeard into the sky.

we enjoyed RED.  I think it was the last movie we saw in a theater.
