good consignment shops?

anyone know of a consignment shop or a website or something where they normally have decent used dresses?  i'm looking for something for this black tie wedding i'm going to in May...i really really really don't want to spend more than $100 on a dress.  i've been keeping a lookout on the sale racks at Lord & Taylor and other places, but no luck so far!

i live in hartford, but i'm wiling to travel...really any suggestions as to where to go are HUGELY appreciated :)

The two I have been told are good are Twice is Nice in Southport and the Goodwill in Westport.  My co-worker walks in with designer bags, shoes & clothes ALLL the time from that Goodwill.  She swears by it…definitely worth taking a trip down here.

There are a few in Simsbury & Avon that are really nice, but I con't remember the names for the life of me.  They are both on Rt 10&202 though.

    What happened to my post?!

I wasn't trying to advertise, I was answering the original question...

Try Elite Repeats on the Cromwell/Rocky Hill border.
I am the owner (and a regular poster on here...)
I only accept things that are practically new and IN STYLE

Try Love Me Two Times in the Taftville section of Norwich. They have a large selection of special occasion, prom, bridesmaid and Mother of the Bride dresses. They were selling my wedding dress at $399 but had marked it down to $99. They also have a seamstress on site to make alterations and her prices are excellent. They are wonderful there and give you lots of personal attention.

There's a bridal consignment shop in Glastonbury, maybe they have prom/bridesmaid dresses there that would be appropriate.  It's called Brides to Be I think.  I'm going there to look for my gown, so I haven't been yet, but I know they have a website.

If you're willing to travel, there are also the "Second Time Around" stores in Greenwich and Westport.  The company does a lot of discounting the longer an item is in the store, and ONLY carries high end and designer.  I got my wedding shoes from there, Manolo Blahnik, for $75.
