Co-worker's invites

I am planning on inviting some of my co-workers to my wedding. I work with all women and every one of them is married. However, I don't have a relationship with any of their spouses. We have met only once or twice and are acquantences. I'd prefer to only invite my co-workers (they all get along and would be seated at the same table at the reception. There are about 6 of them) but I don't want to offend their spouses by not inviting them. What should I do? Any suggestions?

Re: Co-worker's invites

  • You have to invite the husbands.... its their husbands!!  When you're slow dancing, who will they slow dance with?  The wedding is not just about the bride and groom, the party is for the guests as well.  I would be upset if I was invited to a wedding and my husband wasn't. I would not go even if I was to be sitting with a table full of co-workers.  It is in bad taste to invite someone and not include their partner, especially if they're married.

  • They are a social unit and you cannot seperate them. If you want to invite the co-workers, you need to invite their spouses or significant other as well. Find out their names and spelling from your co-worker so you can address the invite properly.
  • OK, decision is made. I'm inviting the hubbies. Thanks for the advice ladies!
