B&M Monday

I need a weekend from my weekend. Blah!

Re: B&M Monday

  • I am so over sharing a car with H. We are both working 13-14 hour days, and have NO time to figure out why his car won't start.
He's going to California for a week next Monday so at least I can be selfish with the car for awhile.
We did go to the registry completion event at BBB last night, and that was a HUGE success. We had so many BBB gift cards that we ended up breaking even and not paying a penny.

I'm guessing that when you make a registry, you have to purchase any items that are leftover that guests didn't purchase? FI and I haven't registered anywhere yet, so I am not sure how it all works.

There were things we didn't get that we needed, and BBB has registry completion events. We got 20% off everything in the store, even if it wasn't on our registry. They had snacks and prizes, although we didn't win anything.
We didn't overall complete our registry, and we picked up other random things we needed. It was fun and VERY helpful to get 20% off things without needing the coupon.
  • Yep it's Monday and I can't get into Kronos and fix missed punches. Can't get into our heat ticket system to get an issue fixed with VSU training. So basically I can't get my work done as freakin usual.

You aren't forced to purchase all remaining items, but all the coupons they give you really help out if you want to buy things that you registered for and still want, but weren't gifted. I am keeping our registry up for a while so I can direct my mother there when she starts asking what we want for Christmas.

I loved my BBB registry. Their customer service was very responsive, unlike Target, who I'm still waiting on a response from in regard to some sheets that someone purchased from our registry that we still have not received. Lets forget the fact that we've been married for over a year.
  • I am mad at Restoration Hardware for teasing me with their new look book I just got.  I am still trying to find the perfect furniture to finish our wine room/formal living and they actually had a coffee table I am interested in.  So I actually talked H into loading up and driving to Dallas yesterday to look at it, and go figure, the store had NONE of the pieces I was intersted in.

BUT, we got to go to The Flying Saucer for a nice patio beer!!

And yay Carrie on breaking even with lots of fun stuff!
  • Courtski and CW -- Ah thanks for explaining, that makes sense!
  • Copper insists that 3AM is time to get up.
Me and him are at odds right now. Gr.

  • Yeah, if I had it to do all over again, I would have run screaming from Target.  Worst.  Registry.  Ever.

But we got like $300+ in gift cards which came in REALLY handy when I was trying to furnish and decorate our new house!

Go poke around the Registering and Gifts message board. It's filled with people who had problems at Target.

This is what I love about mine, you're usually in pretty fast, and the whole thing, even sitting down with him after is quick.  Like, usually in and out in 30 quick.  <div>

Some of it was just the specific store's fault, like the scanners not working two days in a row.

The biggest issue was that things wouldn't show up on our registry, or stuff appeared that we didn't register for.  Like BABY STUFF.  I almost had a heart attack.

Did you hear about the big controvery a while back that Target was using people's shopping history to determine if they might be pregnant so they could send them ads for baby stuff(for example, if someone had bought a lot of coco butter)? And apparently they send a whole bunch of them addressed to a teenager (who was not pregnant) and her father flipped.

Were you buying too much coco butter Professor?

Also, I B&M the fact the FI just called me and told me that there are THOUSANDS of ants in our apt right now. I have goosebumps just typing that out.

Yes, after her father called and b*itched out Target because his daughter was NOT pregnant. NO WAY. <div>
</div><div>Then I think a couple weeks later he called back and apologized because she was pregnant.</div>
