Retro and Vintage Weddings

**Divine**

Sorry I got lazy writing out your name. I just saw you are from the seattle area too. I am curious what area. Its nice to know another vintage bride from the same where abouts. i love my local board but none of them are close to vintage-y. So maybe we can share good finds at local stores :)

ps I havent gotten my e-pics done yet. Have you? Where at? I am trying to find some where with a vintage feel but I am clueless :(

THANKS

Re: **Divine**

  • I am actually about two hours away from Seattle. I'm in Sequim. Ever heard of it? I moved here with my fiance in November of 2008 because he grew up here. It's absolutely beautiful here! Where are you? I've been wondering....

I am having my e-pics done by a friend of Chris's (FH) mom. Her name is Pam Walker. We are hoping to go to Port Townsend and take pictures in the downtown area and at the crazy awesome war forts there. Although, Seattle would be an absolutely amazing place to do a vintage photo shoot. The thing about doing them in Seattle is you can wear anything you want and fit in perfectly. Well, in my opinion anyway! I would love to do a shoot at Pike Place Market and the surrounding waterfront.

We have plenty of time to get them done....you'll see why in my next post. :(

I am in Orting. Have you ever heard of it? It is about an hour from seattle. Yeah I like seattle but it overwhelms FI :(

oh yes I have been to sequim Lots of time I LOVE that drive thru zoo there. You know where all the buffalos lick your windows :)
  • I have never heard of Orting, but I'm going to look it up on the map. I have never actually driven through the Olympic Game Farm, but when FH and I take rides together we drive by it. It is so awesome to see zebras just grazing on the grass when we drive by! It's weird because you see a lot of horses and Sequim, and then all in a suddenly you see zebras!!!!

I agree that Seattle can be overwhelming. Have you ever been to Port Townsend? It's just a cute little port town. There are a lot of little shops and there is a beautiful sandy beach at Fort Warden. There's also a lighthouse at Fort Warden, but I haven't done the tour of it yet. I am definitly planning on going there with the kids this summer.
