Alfred Angelo 6471 BM dress Help

I went shopping with my BMs last night and everyone really likes this dress. Unfortunately only 3 were able to try on the sample :( The shop didn't have one in a size bigger than 14 and the 2 other girls are a 20 and an 18. Anyway, my question, has anyone either tried on this dress in a larger size or seen it on someone who wears a larger size? If so, how did it look? We are going to add thicker straps to all the dresses and a privacy panel to the bust so that it has more support and coverage, but they were worried about the skirt.
Thanks!

  • Chiffon is a "giving" material also this dress seems to fall below the knee. I would have been more concerned with the top than the skirt.

  • I used to work for AA in the past and this dress is not very forgiving to anyone who is not perfectly flat everywhere. That being said if your girls feel comfortable in it then by all means let them go for it but it's a very hard dress to pull off.

  • i had my girls try this on and the two that were larger (16 and 18) did not look good in it. Chiffon is a very difficult fabric for bigger girls, as it lays on top of everything. Satin is much more forgiving.
