New Knottie and a Venue Question

Greetings All!  I've been a pretty avid lurker since getting engaged in November.  Can't wait to read more about all of your fabulous weddings and hopefully get some advice for mine

Here's my conundrum: I'm getting married in December of 2010. My fiance and I found a reception location we absolutely love in West Dundee.  The problem is we're running out of ideas for a ceremony site. Neither of us are particularly religious and the December date obviously makes any outdoor location impossible.  We're looking at having around 125 people and are totally stumped (and a little panicked, if I'm being honest.)  Is anyone familiar with the area or have any suggestions?  I can't even tell you how much I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Is it possible to have an indoor ceremony at your reception location?

When I was looking for a ceremony location, I looked at the Kane County Forest Preserve website, and they had a building on a site usually used for children's camping but it is available for other events when there isn't camping scheduled.  I would guess that there's probably not a lot of camping trips scheduled in December, so you might want to take a look into that - no idea what the building actually looks like, but it might work:

It's in Gilberts, IL, which doesn't look to be too far from West Dundee.  Also, if you're willing to have your guests drive a little farther, there's a place in St. Charles (almost near South Elgin) that's also owned by the park district called Brewster Creek.  I did look at that place, and it's brand new and rustic looking.  I didn't end up going for it because I really wanted an outdoor ceremony, and they weren't really amenable to that, and it clashed with our summer colors (it's very rustic - dark oranges and browns).

    Hope that helps!

Is there space to have a ceremony at your reception site?
How about a theater, city hall, or historic home, or museum?

Check out Lords Park Pavillion in Elgin. They have indoor/outdoor ceremonies there year round.
