not sure if you want an OMH's response... but I was happy with who I chose. Ignore if you're tired of me posting about it :)

I had two different people because... um... that's just how it worked out?  Not really that bad actually and they're both good at what they do. Kyle at gene juarez northgate for hair and Eric at Coupe Rokei downtown.

Both would be in the more pricey range (Kyle - basic GJ prices, I think $150 including trial? Eric - $170 including trial and travel to north seattle). But looking back, not going to lie, I love looking at my wedding pictures. If I'm TOTALLY honest, I know I'd be mad at myself if I hadn't chosen people I really liked.  I did spend a lot of time on so many other wedding things and these two MUAs fell into my lap through references, so I was out of energy to look further.

Eric uses Mac, which I love. I actually went to the counter at Nordstroms to find out how much the girls there would charge (for a friend recently)... and it was more.  Which surprised me.  Maybe that's not true everywhere, but it was there. All I can say about Kyle is that my hair was amazing and I had the perfect curls I've always wanted :)

    Happy choosing!

Melissa from Attitudes Salon in Tacoma is doing my hair. She is my Regular stylist and she is coming in special on her day off to do my hair. MUA is my mom. She is amazing with makeup and has done makeup for all of my family for their weddings. So Iam going to head to the clinque counter week before the wedding and buy everything they put on my face and have her do it

I'm using Shannon from Blush for makeup, and Karen from Blush for hair. My mom and sister are using someone named Hannah for make-up, she does a great job and is about $60 here is her email. fondmemories_k2h2p@yahoo.com

Who are you going with? Taryn Hart
Why did you choose them? Another Knottie had used her and recommended her.  Her work looks good, her references had positive things to say, and she was in my budget.
What is the price range? Bride $150-200 for hair & makeup + trial, BMs $80-130 for hair & makeup (no trial - trial is an additonal $50)
    Website/contact info? www.tarynhart.com

The thing to having 1 person do hair and makeup for the whole BP is it is more time consuming, but MOH had that done for her wedding and her WP had 1 extra person than mine does.

I'm using Kim from Salon Silver in Gig Harbor.  She charges $85 for hair.  She is now my regular stylist and will travel to me for the wedding in October.  No idea on MUA yet.
