So I come into my office this morning and the thermostat is set to 90 degrees. No joke. I didn't even realize that it could go that high, but apparently it can. The weird thing is that I was the first person in the office so I have no idea who set it that high. Oh and also, ten minutes later, someone put a giant sign on the thermostat that said "If you want it hot and humid, move to Florida." Haha.
What's up with you ladies today?

Re: What's shakin?
I'm spending the day cleaning my apartment before I head off to my second job. My parents are coming to see our new place this weekend and to bring us some furniture. I have been hating life without a coffee table. SO just throws his stuff on the floor or the kitchen table, it kills me. My full time job starts back up next wekk and I am so ready, I hate not having anything to do all day. The animals will probably miss me,
Yay for furniture! We just moved last August and I swear we went to Ikea every weekend for months before we got everything we needed lol.

All we have is beat up furniture since our current place is kind of a transition apartment. We're pinching pennies in a tiny place for the next year so we can get a nicer place next year and pay off school loans. But I'm definitely all "yay for furniture" because we have no coffee table and our boxspring didn't fit up the stairs so we sleep on a mattress on the floor. I feel like I'm still in college and I hate hate hate it.
I did go Ikea crazy and bought 2 pot racks (the kitchen is itty bitty) and 2 giant book cases. and a bunch of little things. I'm hoping to aquire a bed frame, new tv and new laptop in the next 3 months. The bed thing just makes me feel gross. (Rant about my crappy bed over)
Happy 1 month mark!
wow 90 is hot. Tomorrow my carpet should finally be installed, yay I'm so excited. This week has been exhausting mostly from work, but a co-worker of mine is back from vacation so the work load will be less stressful going forward.
I have rehearsal tonight so it will be another late night for me.
Yay for new furniture! I'll have plenty of furniture to acquire after my move to my new house in May, but really just need a new couch!
One month moocow you must be so excited!!!!
And that colon is supposed to be a sad face. I always forget that this damn mobile site hates parentheses.
Of course, my office sucks in that I apparently sit under one of the only AC vents in our office, so even though it's set at 77, it blows full blast on me so that I'm freezing (you seriously cross the threshhold into my area and it's like 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the building).
[QUOTE]ICK 90 degrees!! Did it actually get that high? Dang! I am on my first prep at work (I am a teacher) and clearly I am not "prepping." I need a moment to get my head back on after 25 teenagers walk out my door. Quiet time now ;) Listening to bright eyes and cleaning desks. <strong>Seeing Book of Mormon</strong> tonight in the city with my sister (who is visiting from NC) Can't wait!!

<div>Please tell me what you think! I want to see it so bad. MY BFF lives in NYC and said it was awesome. </div><div>
</div><div>On the whole 90 degrees thing: My mom has the AC set at their house to only turn on when it hits <strong>92 degrees</strong>. In Houston. In the summer. (ETA: At all hours of the day, not just when no one was home.) Half the time it was hotter inside than it was outside. When I lived at home, she would b!itch my dad and I out ALL THE TIME for changing the AC to a bearable temp (we put it at 78). That was one of my breaking points that pushed me to take out student loans and move out. She still b!itches at my dad when he "messes" with the thermostat. </div><div>
</div><div>Elle, I share an AC unit with a kindergarten class. They move around all the time, so they keep it at 70. The first thing I do in the mornings is put on my sweatshirt I keep in the office. </div>

It's just two days before we go on vacation, and I'm so happy about that! This week has been INSANE at work now that we have another nurse on maternity leave. Yesterday, I had the excitement of a patient's tumor, which is large enough that it has developed its own intense vasculature, bled everywhere. We were taking a series of baseline pictures of it and it started absolutely gushing. Blood all over her back, all over the chair, dripped through the chair onto the floor... it was horrifying. And the thing's infected and necrotic, so the smell....... the smell
So yes. Vacation.
Also, I'm pretty sure that the heat was on in my office this morning because it was definitely not hot enough outside to be 77 degrees in here.
And yes, one month to go!! Yikes. Gotta start hunting down the people who haven't RSVP'd. Grr.

I get to hop on a plane at 7am tomorrow for a one day business trip. The sad part is it will be 54 and raining where I'm going (Seattle) and 86 and sunny at home. I think I'm missing the first 80-degree day of the year!
I haz a planning bio
90 sounds terrible.
Today is a bad day. I woke up late for work, forgot to take the trash out for the trucks (luckily my dad did it. Got to love that guy), my brother is having surgery on his hand and may not again full mobility in his finger again, and I am either on the verge of tears or about to fall asleep. I need a break. Sigh, not happening.
