Two Dresses?

I'm torn between two dresses... would it be a bad idea to have one for the ceremony and one for the reception?!?!  Please help!!

    Well, it's not a terrible idea as long as you can afford it. But personally, I could think of a million other things in my wedding that I'd spend money on before buying a second dress.

    Not to mention that a lot of guests won't even really notice that you've changed dresses unless they're really drastically different. IMO I think a bride really only gets that WOW moment from everybody once, when she's seen for the first time in the dress. The second dress just won't have as much impact.

    All this being said, this is really just my opinion on the matter but it's one of those "To each his own" things. Is it down to these dresses for sure, or are you going to keep looking? Do you have pics? Maybe we can help you decide!

    It is up to you, but I'm not sure that liking two dresses counts as a great reason to have 2 dresses. I can see if the ceremony dress was really heavy/poufy/elaborate, and you wanted a short light dress to dance the night away. BUT, like ringy said, you'll have to decide what fits in your budget. Did you talk to your fi about it?

    I dunno how to put the pics up but I have pics of both... one is more of a destination dress which is rather plain and the other is a poufy ball gown with roses made with the fabric.  I want just one dress... FI would freak out if I were to buy two dresses.  He's very dutch.  Thanks for your opinions ladies.  I think I haven't really found my dress.

    Actually the message boards have a good tool for posting pics now, you don't even need to host them online. If you click the little tree icon at the bottom of this message box, a window will pop up where you can browse for your pic on your computer and post it. I'd love to see!
