SUDDEN INVITE problem! WTH?

Yell  I had asked my grandma on my Dads side for 4 addresses, 2 for my uncles and then she wanted to invite her 2 brothers..well she finally dropped them off and there are like 10 names! OK, one is my uncles ex-wife who I never have really talked to, another was the ex-wifes sister who 20 years ago had an affair with my Dad, right, sounds crazy and it is, another one of my uncles ex-wifes and her daughter which would be my cousin but never have met her, and some other ppl.  Well, I am at about 85-90 right now and we are booked for 100...what would you guys do? My mind is so numb, it has been a hell of a weekend and I just don't feel obligated to invite these ppl...at my baby shower, grandma had told my mom that she should have invited half the family that I never hardly see...Its kind of awkward..Yes I have a bunch of family on my Dads side and even my Dad and I don't have a relationship...arrrgh!

    It's your wedding and you should invite who you want to invite. Since you told her about the 4 people I would definately invite them but tell your grandma that you are sorry but your venue is too small to invite any people above that.

    You are not obligated to invite anybody to your wedding. Especially not your uncle's ex-wife's sister who had an affair with your dad twenty years ago. I'd just invite either the original four, or whichever of these people are actually family, and not add anymore.

    yeah, just because she gave you their information doesn't mean you have to use it. Use only the addresses you asked for and don't sweat it. What PP said about telling her you didn't have enough room for those people is good, but only if she asks.

    Stick with the original 4 addresses.  Grandma should know better than to bring up the others that weren't invited again.

    I just did the 4 like I had originally asked for..out in the mail yesterday..My Mom said when her and my Dad were getting addresses from her (its my Dads mom) that she brought a list forever long and they had a ton of people there she didnt even know...Things were different back in 83 and she was only 20 when she married my Dad..But I'll be damned if I would even think of inviting that woman my Dad cheated on my mom with! Ugh!
