OMG ya'll!

My invitation lady emailed me Saturday, and my invites went out! I'm pretty sure they went first class b/c she used forever stamps. If that means they went first class (which I'm not too sure on someone let me know if they know please!), then they should start rolling in tomorrow through Thursday. Eek! I'm so excited. I have only seen online proofs so I hope they turned out well.

Re: OMG ya'll!

  • It depends more on where they're dropped off.  We sent our save the dates with Forever stamps from our local post office in Miami, and they took at least a week (some took 3 months, some never got there at all.... Miami sucks).  My Mom sent out shower invitations with normal $0.44 stamps from the Rhode Island distribution center for the post office (where all the local post offices send their mail in the state), and they started arriving literally the next morning.

Either way, SUPER exciting!  I'm trying to get mine all finished so they can go in the mail this week.  Eeeeek!

  • Oh wow..I hope people get them. I would be so upset if some people just never got them...

Bahaha not to thread jack but I found this hilarious because I live in Broward and cringe whenever I have to go to Miami to get something done.  It is a fun place to be when you want to have fun but as far as efficiency and productivity go...forget about it!

OP,  That is so exciting!  DOn't stress yourself about people not getting them.  You'll go crazy.  If your RSVP date is approaching and you haven't heard from a lot of people, especially some you thought you'd hear from, I think it is okay to "check in" with some people you are closer with that they got them.  You don't want to nag everyone until after the RSVP date but people you are close with would understand you just want to make sure they got it.
  • Um, I don't know the RSVP date! I think she asked for one, but I don't remember. Oh, well. My mom will probably get the invitation and I can ask her. :P
