Washington County Historic Courthouse - Set up

Hi! I'm looking at the Washington County Historic Courthouse in Stillwater and I'm curious about their capacity - I believe the website says 200 seated - does anyone know if this puts everyone in the same room or are they spread out throughout the courthouse? Any other imput from people who are having or have had their receptions or have been to a reception there would be great!

Re: Washington County Historic Courthouse - Set up

  • I'm having mine at the courthouse in September and I'm inviting around 200 ppl.  My estimate is that I'll only have between 170 and 180 there, though.  The courthouse really only has one main room (with small rooms to get ready/keep your stuff), so everyone would be in that one big room.  There's a nice big dance floor, but if you're having 150 ppl or more you're going to have to break down tables after dinner and move them off the dance floor in order to utilize it.

I haven't had the wedding yet, but I know several ladies on these boards have, and they probably have a little more info.

  • Im getting married here sept 2013!! Im inviting about 170 guests which i think will be comfortable in the space. I know 200people is the max and with table arrangments it would be tight but do able to have 200 in there. This venue is beautiful! I love being able to pick my own caterer and supply me own alcohol. The only thing that kind of stinks is you need to supply all of your linen and dining ware. Are you ladies renting or buying your linen? Im finding it to be more cost effective to buy so far. Let me know your thoughts, thanks!! happy planning:)
