Can I get a DJ for under $500??

We're getting married at a vineyard in Dahlonega (about an hour north of ATL).  I can't seem to find a dj for under $500.  Does anyone have suggestions of someone with good references but an affordable price?  We're on a tight budget.

I 2nd the pp, I am using complete music and they are fitting into my budget nicely.  If you visit their booth at a bridal show you get a great discount!

Yes, definitely!  My DJ is $500 and they are throwing in a free lighting package.  I got quotes from DJs as low as $350.  It's definitely possible.

    I looked at www.gigmasters.com

This was an amazing site. You just fill out a form with your date, budget, and location and bands compete for your business and come back with amazing prices. I found many djs for under $500. Well at least I know there were at least 4 under that price, but I was looking for a live band and also had selected DJ. Good luck

Once they find out we're in Dahlonega for the event, everyone raises their price dramatically.

Our DJ not only is costing us $500 on the nose, but they are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  100% of their events proceeds go to their licensed animal rescue.

Look up "To The Rescue Entertainment."
