school bus

How do you go about renting a school bus for guest transportation? We are looking for something to transport the guests from reception site to hotel. Do you just call the local bus station or what? Thanks!

HI. My mom works for a very large school bus company. I'm not sure exactly how you go about renting a school bus. If you want I can ask her to see if she knows. Let me know.

I will tell you that there are different size buses and they DO NOT have ac or heat on then so consider that for whatever time of year your wedding is. If its for a fairly short ride it could work during winter and summer. If it's a longer ride, it's something I'd really think about cause them buses can get hot even when the windows are open. Just something to thnk about.

I'd say call around to different companies that are near where the ceremony and/or reception are going to be. Ask them how much it would cost to have approx number of people transported on set date and time(s). I belive they chanrge by the hour but I could be wrong. Hope this helps you out some. GL!

If you could ask your mom that would be great! I don't know where to even start to find the nearby companies.  It is a very short ride. less than 1 mile. just to take the guests from the reception to the hotel. Too far to walk and I dont want my guests drinking and driving. (we have an open bar at the reception)

I would also be curious as to what your mom says.  We are looking to rent a bus as well.  Thanks!
