DJ Question

I was wondering if anyone has used Eric Schiemer as your DJ.  I am looking for someone who isn't cheezy, won't promote and advertise themselves all night, won't bring props, and doesn't like to play songs like the Chicken Dance, Macarena, etc. I just want a classy and elegant night.  I noticed that he wasn't on the recomended vendors list so that is why I thought I would ask about him on here.

I really like Jeremy Ganss, but I just can't justify spending $1000 more than I would on someone else.

Any recomendations for non cheezy, classy DJs would be appreciated! Thanks:)

    I have not, but I've had friends attend weddings he's DJ'ed at, and I've only heard good things!

    I've heard that Kevin Redford is a fantastic DJ--a very sincere fellow who loves weddings.  Might want to try him. My BFF works with him professionally in the music field. She speaks very highly of him.

    I have not, but you can tell whatever DJ you hire to not use props and give them a list of songs you do not want played. Additionally, I can only remember one DJ who had a ridiculously large sign with their name on it at a wedding. I can't recall any who verbally self-promoted. GL!

    I am using DJ Eric for my wedding, but can't give feedback about performance yet. However, in speaking with him, I recall him saying he is not "cheesy" or "looking to be the center of attention" like some other DJs.
    He also mentioned DJs who do that sportscaster like voice- he said he's not obnoxious like that (unless you request such a thing, i.e. my FI wants to have us announced at the reception that way since he has a funny, good sports last name).
    He also has a blog that I follow as he takes pictures (with your permission) in addition to his DJ duties. In looking through them, I don't see many props.

    Additionally, he has a site that you can request certain songs be played or not

    I used him in August and he was great!  He is not cheesy at all, extremely professional and i did not have to worry about him at all. Loved him!
