I just got home from a business trip, I was gone all last week and landed on Saturday afternoon.  On Sunday I did manage to pick up a few items for my BM's gift bags.  They are now finished, except for the bottle of wine I need to pick up.  I'm planning to get that taken care of this evening when I pick up the beer for the GM gifts as well.  I also did a little DIY project for my Dad's gift, now I just need to write thank you cards to each person and finish up some wrapping.

Tomorrow we are going to pick up the marriage license, Wendesday I have my final fitting and bring my dress home, Thursday I'm picking up my escort cards from the calligrapher and Saturday is my bachelorette!  Busy week ahead!!

This weekend I bought the bubbles and the pew bows and some ribbons.. That's about all I accomplished haha!  I have a fitting today, my hair trial tomorrow, meeting with the florist on Friday and I have to find some time to meet with the Deacon (since my Priest is suddenly magically going to be out of town and we got handed the Deacon who we've never even met) so busy week!  On top of working 50 hours!

I made the pew picture frames. In some of the pews will have pictures of parents & grand parents weddings, the rest of the pews will have bows. (My Aunt will be doing those because I can't tie a pretty bow to save my life.) I also covered some pillar candles with lace for the head table. I had my final dress fitting and my Mom and one of my bridesmaids learned how to do my bustle. (It's a difficult bustle because it's a double bustle, the train is so long that they have to do it twice.

Next weekend my Aunts and Grandmother are taking me to a Tea Room for a little bachelorette luncheon.

I accomplished the much dreaded seating chart. I got the supplies to put together my sign for the seating chart, but didn't actually do any work on it.

We picked up marriage license late last week, this weekend I made phone calls to most of the people I haven't heard from about whether they're coming or not. There are two people on FI's side that I can't find phone numbers for so hopefully their mother will call me back with that info.
I bought paper to make my card box (version 2-didn't like the size of V1) and paper for people to sign or write notes or whatever that we are going to put in our love letter box instead of doing a guest book which would sit around and be useless.
Met with our officiant-we went to the same church growing up and he's still a great guy. We talked everything over and I'm feeling really good about that.
Mailed information to my DJ about ceremony music, introductions, first dance, father/daughter dance etc.

Wow, I got  more done this weekend than I thought, which is great! Can't believe it's only 19 days away :P
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

Didn't get much WR done this weekend. I ended up unexpectantly spending a little over 2hrs at Valvoline for what started as a routine oil change. As they were replacing the plug on my oil pan, it cracked. I have a temporary fix on the oil pan now and I'm taking my car back over Wednesday morning for them to replace it. The only thing I have to pay for is the new serpentine belt which I had already okay'd for them to replace and gotten a discount on before the oil pan happened. They also gave me a slice of the pizza they had delivered while I was waiting and a bottle of water.

Oh, and our rings finally came in Friday! Yay! They're being engraved so we'll be able to actually pick them up this Friday. Also got our unity candle and the parafin oil for it.

I was in California for a conference all last week (which is why I haven't been posting much recently...the conference center had terrible internet/cell phone coverage).  I feel a bit behind right now, but I spent yesterday replying to vendor emails and organizing the RSVPs that came in while we were gone.  Hoping to have a more productive week this week!

DONE: Nothing, ha. It was my sister's wedding, and so I focused on seeing family and having a lovely time (and delivering a kickass toast). This morning I got in a bunch of emails.

TO-DO: Lots of following up, including a phone call with our DJ tomorrow to touch base. I also need to finish cutting out all of the signage (I'm terrible at drawing or cutting a straight line, so this is a bigger process than it ought to be). I hope to do that tonight. I'm also on the hunt for plain white coffee mugs to DIY something quick for my bridal party for the morning of. If I'm successful, I'll share here!

I did most of the favors and bags of lavender, I had to buy more mini wine glasses to complete favors. I finished the tags with people's names on them to put on the favor, which has a charm with their table # on it. I just need to print them out and attach. I got cake server set, I emailed cake guy with final #. I went to old apartment complex today and got the gift that got sent there because I didn't change my address on registry like I thought. I got my hair trimmed. I got gift card for MOH from Starbucks to go with her thank you gift. Got a hankie for my Dad that has a cool saying on it from etsy. Gave Step Mom names of people for rehearsal dinner so she can send invites and I think that's it!

First Anniversary First Answer 5 Love Its Name Dropper
    edited September 2012
FI was at his bachelor party so I was busy this weekend.  Didn't get it all done, but oh well.

    Done:

-Thursday night we met with the DJ which went really well, so I spent some  time filling in our wedding info on our DJ website.
-Met with cake bakery to finalize flavors/design.  Paid off.
-Met with ring designer.  Confirmed my wedding band was wrong and took my e-ring to get the sizing & design correct (sad face).  Paid off.
-First alteration apt & left the dress.
-Put down deposit & ordered the linens
-Got the personalized stamp & bags for our favors, so began on that.
    -Figured out escort cards stamps.
-Finished the rest of my shower thank yous!!!
-Began washing and putting ribbon on the vases for our centerpieces.  Got about half done.
-Called my dad on a fluke to see if he would have a 19" dia. log or bigger at home to see about the cake stand I want and he does!!  It will now ride out with my grandma who is driving out to CA for the wedding!  Saving me like $80+.  Woot!
-Took the wood slices for my table numbers over to FMIL because she volunteered to do them.
-And the biggest one of all.....I got my boudoir CD and made my photo album for FI!!!  I love it!  I'm making it on mpix.com which is supposed to be professional quality.  I'm so excited for it!!!

    Didn't do:

-I had bought a wood directional sign from another bride on Craigslist, and of course our ceremony & reception were opposite of theirs.  My goal was to remove the paint wording, restain and repaint the signs.  Realized I didn't have paint remover at home.  Oops!  It was like 108 degrees all weekend though so I think I would have passed out trying to do this though!

    This week:

-RSVP deadline is this Friday, so hopefully getting the last 12 or so back this week.

    -Paying off DJ

-Calling Venue to confirm whether they booked a Friday wedding or if we can do our rehearsal in the afternoon.

-Bugging FI for wedding music since our DJ said we were the first couple ever to not know their first song!  lol

-Figuring out RD numbers.....It seems crazy but we are looking at like 60 people for it!

    -Finishing centerpieces

    -Working on seating chart.
